Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located in Changning District, Minhang District, Shanghai, China. Of Shanghai's two civil aviation airports, Hongqiao Airport is closer to the city, but it is small, operating only domestic routes in mainland China and some routes between Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Japan and South Korea. Most of Shanghai's international flights are handled by Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is located in Minhang District of Shanghai, it was opened on July 1, 2010, with Terminal 2 of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on its east side. It is a high-speed railway station used by Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway and Shanghai-Kunming high-speed Railway. Shanghai Hongqiao Station operates more than 270 pairs of high-speed trains every day, with an average daily passenger flow of 170,000 and a maximum passenger flow of 370,000. It is a special class station managed by Shanghai Bureau Group and an important part of Hongqiao comprehensive transportation Hub, and the most important railway passenger transport hub in East China.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located in the coastal zone of Zhuqiao Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, China, and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is listed as the two major airports in Shanghai. It is planned to cover an area of 45.66 square kilometers, and the existing area is about 37.8 square kilometers, about 30 kilometers away from the city center. It is operated and managed by Shanghai Airport Group Co., LTD. The vast majority of international and Hong Kong-Macao flights to and from Shanghai take off and land at Pudong Airport, as well as domestic flights, while Shanghai has another airport closer to the city centre, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, which serves mainly China domestic routes.
